— Our Story
The Ultimate Vision Dreamers Foundation is a non-profit 501c3 that began as a shared mission rooted in a life-changing connection. Dr. Chris Roye-Gill, then Dean of Students at Sulzberger Middle School, introduced a groundbreaking Conflict Resolution and Peer Mediation program. Among the students required to participate was Rashidah, whose mother enrolled her after a near-tragic fight. The program not only transformed Rashidah’s approach to conflict but also her life’s trajectory.
Under Dr. Roye-Gill’s mentorship, Rashidah learned to use her head instead of her fists, forging a bond that would inspire her future. She earned a full scholarship to Penn State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree, later earning her MBA, and thriving as an NFL sports agent, entrepreneur, and community leader. Yet, her passion to revive the program that shaped her remained a constant.
On September 14, 2018, Rashidah founded the Ultimate Vision Dreamers Foundation and partnered with Dr. Roye-Gill to revive the program that had once changed her life.
After years of seeking funding, their persistence paid off in 2023, allowing them to relaunch the program after a 27 year hiatus with 12 youth during a transformative four-week summer session. By 2024, they doubled enrollment, integrating conflict resolution fundamentals with fitness and group trauma therapy, continuing their commitment to empowering the next generation in West Philadelphia.
